David is a partner in Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in Dallas. David is a former Chair of the ABA Joint Committee on Employee Benefits and a former Chair of the Employee Benefits Committee of the ABA Section on Taxation. David helped pioneer the use of teleconferences for benefits education, hosting the first teleconference by the ABA Tax Section and helping to start the teleconference capabilities of the JCEB. After serving as JCEB Chair, David led the JCEB CLE efforts for the next six years. David helped to organize the effort to create the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel and has been the first Chair of its Board of Governors, its President, and a Charter Fellow. Since 1988, David has been involved in creating and developing EPCRS. David was the first Chair of the Dallas Key District EPEO Council, the forerunner of the IRS regional TEGE Committees. A member of the American Law Institute, an author and a co-chair of too many CLE programs, David seems willing to teach or write about ERISA for anyone who asks. David has the rare distinction to be married to another Fellow, Greta, and as of mid-2010, has three engaging children and one adorable grandchild.
