Susan Nash has extensive experience working with employers, vendors, and health plans on health care strategy, design, and implementation of health and welfare benefit plans. These include medical, prescription drug, wellness programs, on-site clinics, telemedicine, disability, mental health benefits, cafeteria plans, and consumer-directed health plans such as health reimbursement arrangements and health savings accounts.

Susan also assists her clients with innovative employee benefit strategies, such as employer direct contracting with providers, population health management and data-driven tools, on-site clinics, and private exchange solutions for retirees and active employees. She has counseled a wide variety of group health plans on compliance with the HIPAA’s privacy, security, and nondiscrimination requirements. Susan has represented a wide variety of clients in negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, and in contracting with third-party vendors for welfare plans.

Susan is co-chair of the Health and Welfare Plan Vertical of the firm's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Department.
