Patricia Gimbel Lewis, a member of Caplin & Drysdale in Washington, D.C., has practiced employee benefits law, primarily from the tax perspective, since the early 1970s. More recently, her focus in the tax area has shifted to cross-border transfer pricing issues, including advance pricing agreements with the IRS and other foreign tax authorities for major multinational corporations. She formed and headed the Employee Benefits Committee of the D.C. Bar Taxation Section in the 1980s, and later co-chaired the Taxation Section. From 1994-1996, Pat was a member of the IRS Commissioner's Advisory Group, and she is currently an elected member of the American College of Tax Counsel and the American Bar Foundation. She graduated with honors from the J.D.-MBA program at Harvard University and did her undergraduate work at Wellesley College.
