Ken Kenworthy
William “Ken” Poston Kenworthy, 59, of Memphis, died March 12, 2007.
Ken practiced employee benefits and executive compensation law for over 30 years in Memphis, Tennessee, at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC until his death. Ken was a Charter Fellow of the College and was active in several bar and employee benefits organizations including the Employee Benefits Committee of the Tax Section of the ABA, the Southern Employee Benefits Conference and the Greater Memphis Employee Benefits Council. He was a frequent speaker and writer.
He will always be respected for his high level of service to his clients, his law firm and the legal community in general. He will also be remembered for his devotion to his family, his faith and his community. Among his most enduring civic legacies will be his over 30 years of service (including as president) to the more than 20,000-kid strong Memphis area Boy Scouts of America. Among the reactions to his death by his colleagues and friends: “You would be hard pressed to find someone more loyal than Ken or with a more generous heart. He will be greatly missed but always remembered by many people.” “He was always willing to help with whatever you had going on. He was always willing to give his time.”
