She has counseled clients through de-risking strategies with pension, retiree medical, long term disability and retiree life insurance to reduce financial statement liability fluctuation. She has provided expert opinions in complex retirement and health plan claim disputes. Greta is a member of the American Law Institute and a frequent speaker on their programs. She is a member of BNA's Compensation and Benefits Advisory Board. She authored the BNA/Bloomberg, Tax Management Portfolios: Tax and ERISA Implications of Employer-Provided Medical and Disability Benefits- 330-1st and COBRA- Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985- 338-1st. She has been listed as one of Dallas' Best Women Lawyers and in Best Lawyers in America since at least 2013. She values all of her friends in the employee benefits community. She is the proud adoptive parent of four legged furry child and is a registered PetPartners handler for their therapy dog team. She is married to a charter fellow, T. David Cowart.
